This is the River Derwent at the Bridge Inn, exercising itself where I live. It is normally a gentle river flowing under this old bridge but has this weekend reached record levels and flooded the nearby villages in a way I haven’t seen in our thirty-three years here. The previous record was in 2019. Remy looks like he understands what is going on perhaps better than we do.
