It was F. Scott Fitzgerald who talked about holding opposing thoughts in mind and retaining the ability to function. Writing about Outside the Walls and New Artisans feels somewhat akin to that.
A form of stunt writing, trying to stay aboard two animals with minds of their own.
Outside the Walls as observations on the changing maps of what work, and New Artisans as ways of thriving in it.
Observation on the one hand, Orientation on the other.
It will probably involve falling off a lot.
:-)
I feel much the same when writing Decrapify Work, so I started No-one's Coming To Save You but it hasn't made it any easier! (In my case the former is commentary on work and the workplace, the latter about surviving in and recovering from corporate life.) Still, if you're not in danger of falling off, you're playing too safe.
See you in newsletter A&E!
Chuckle, if anyone can tame those horses it's you Richard...
