Different tone today. I have spent a good part of this week in the centre of London, a place that, since lockdown, I have visited rarely and only daily when I have. Staying over, having a chance to have a longer, slower look, has been something of a revelation. An unsettling one. What follows are some of the thoughts it has triggered.
