When the unintended consequences of more than a decade of obsession with growth-at-all-costs collide with the emerging realities of a world disturbed by post-pandemic attitudes to work, the felt presence of climate change, and desperate thrashing around of administrations trying to demonstrate control of situations they do not understand, our lives are bound to become more interesting.
