Performance is such a loaded word. It can be something that moves us to tears of joy, from an orchestral recital to a murmuration of starlings, our child at their first school play, or a sublime move on the sports field.
On the other hand, it can be a burden of expectation to deliver a seemingly pointless, sometimes incomprehensible business goal or a burden we place on ourselves in comparing ourselves to others.
Performance can make our souls sing or scream. It’s all about context.
