There’s something remarkably powerful about allowing ourselves to notice without judgement or labelling, letting what is in our attention take shape, join dots, and see what emerges in the same way that we might look at a painting to consider what was on the artist's mind, and the subliminal messages she is conveying to us.

That’s what my reading has felt like this week - it has been “content rich” but incomplete, requiring something to catalyse it and surface what I could sense but not see. Like old-school black-and-white photography, waiting for the image to appear in the developing tank. Patience.

The catalyst, the “developer” that brought what I felt into view this week, was the kerfuffle around the Microsoft bid for Activision, a £55 billion bag of goodies that would secure, for a while at least, Microsoft’s hold on cloud gaming and provide Activision shareholders with a healthy return.
