On My Mind

Hierarchies, Networks and the Space Between.

This is going to be a different format of Reflection today, triggered by a really vibrant week of conversations about how we work together when things are as fluid  as they are. I hope the flow works well enough if you don't have time for the video clips - but if you do, I think they add significantly when it comes to reflecting on your own individual "what next?.

One of the qualities I love about conversations that are unburdened by "expected outcomes" is where they end up going. It reminds me that every cell depends for its existence on its degree of permeability. Too much, and it has no identity and dies, too little and it becomes closed and dies. Healthy development and evolution, whether in our bodies, our conversations, our businesses and even our countries is dependent on healthy degrees of permeability. A freedom to leave where we are to go somewhere new.
