I find this a momentous time of year, as we transition to lengthening days, and the anticipation of Spring makes us appreciate Winter. For most (but not all) of us, there is a pause as Slack slackens, Teams disband for a while, and we move past the winter solstice into the New Year.
Perhaps it’s because my birthday falls this month, (which surprised my parents as I was not due to arrive for another couple of months, and in the middle of the last century, such precocious behaviour carried a reasonably high risk of failure). It always seems a good place to start amid our everyday concerns about lives and careers - taking a moment to be grateful we are here at all.
Inflexion is in the air.
