“Authority” is such a hard-edged word. It evokes feelings of controlling or being controlled. Laws, regulations, taxes, bureaucracies and being judged. Some sort of coercive sausage machine converting our capacity to production and consumption rather than a sense of coherence.
Perhaps we can think about it differently. I’m going to follow on from the experiment I started last week, play with some ideas here, develop them with you during the week, and summarise on Friday before moving on to another aspect of our quest for personal coherence in a seemingly incoherent world.
