We are the only version of ourselves that will ever exist - a combination of nature, nurture and circumstance at a moment in time with a unique contribution to make. Our own personal “flap of a butterfly’s wing” might cause a storm somewhere far away.
How do we make the most of it?
Our organisational systems design and the resultant culture require only a fraction of who we are in order to make a return on the cost of employing us. In order to make sure what we do is efficient and compliant, we are surrounded by processes and protocols to ensure we deliver to specification in as much volume as possible. When we are working for somebody else, we are all on some version of being measured in ten-minute billable increments.
